Job Description

Hitachi Energy HVDC is seeking a highly skilled Project Technical Engineering Specialist Professional to provide advanced technical expertise and leadership within complex Offshore Wind Connection projects. This role involves contributing to the design, development, and implementation of Cybersecurity / Networking solutions across various systems in the Tender / Projects.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead Cybersecurity & Networking design for IT/OT Systems, Such as High Voltage AC, HVDC, CCTV, Telephone, PIDS, PAGA, etc., to established standards and best practices.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, from concept, base design, detail design, supplier documentation review and confirm the deployment and post-implementation.
  • Conduct in-depth technical analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for proposed engineering solutions.
  • Develop and review technical specifications, architectural designs, and implementation plans.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex technical issues, providing innovative solutions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.

Your background

  • You have at least a university degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience from a comparable position
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related field).
  • 14+ years of progressive experience in technical engineering roles, with a significant portion in project-oriented environments
  • Proven expertise in at least one specialized engineering domain relevant to Hitachi's business (e.g., industrial automation, power systems, IT infrastructure, railway systems, renewable energy)
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, design principles, and software/hardware integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical aspects of complex projects and guide engineering teams
