Job Description
At Natural Power, we have been pioneers of positive renewable change for over 30 years. Our expertise spans the full renewable energy lifecycle - from consenting and construction through to operation and servicing.
Our Global Advisory & Analytics team, with offices across the UK, Europe, and the US, provides trusted technical advice to clients worldwide, helping them understand and manage technical risks across renewable energy projects and asset portfolios.
We are now looking for a Director - UK Advisory & Analytics to join our London team and play a pivotal role in driving business growth, building long-term client relationships, and delivering high-value technical advisory services.
The Role
This is a highly visible, predominantly client-facing role focused on business development, strategic growth, and technical advisory delivery. You will work closely with investors, developers, asset owners, and other key industry stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and position Natural Power as the trusted technical consultancy partner of choice.
You'll also work closely with senior leadership and department heads to shape strategic plans, strengthen our market position, and ensure the continued growth of our UK Advisory & Analytics offering.
To succeed in this role, you'll be commercially driven, highly networked within the renewable energy sector, and comfortable balancing relationship management, proposal development, and billable project work.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with debt providers, institutional investors, private equity firms, project developers, and owner/operators
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, lead generation, and strategic outreach
- Develop tailored technical scopes of work and compelling proposals aligned to client needs
- Deliver and support billable technical advisory work to maintain and demonstrate expertise
- Proactively manage and strengthen existing client relationships, identifying issues early and resolving them effectively
- Develop innovative client engagement initiatives such as masterclasses, workshops, and networking events
- Work with senior leadership to create and execute business growth strategies and business plans
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to inform strategy
- Ensure pricing, scope, and deliverables are commercially balanced and profitable
- Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to develop realistic, high-quality proposals
- Mentor and coach colleagues on business development, proposal writing, and client engagement best practice
- Help refine and communicate Natural Power's unique value proposition in the renewable energy market
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded and technically credible individual with a strong network in the renewable energy and investment sectors.
You'll ideally have:
- A Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 6+ years' experience in business development
- 1+ years' experience in business strategy
- 3+ years' experience in renewable energy
- Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management
- Knowledge of renewable energy finance, project development, and operations
- Experience in consulting, marketing, or technical advisory
- Strong understanding of project finance and other financial structures within renewable energy
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A proactive, client-focused mindset with a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to take ownership and drive initiatives forward
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
