Job Description
This Warehouse Manager manages the warehouse production scheduling and may include support for new ERP/MRP implementation for the company. This may include but is not limited to setting up warehouse systems including physical layout, order management, inventory management, policies, procedures and work instructions. The position will also be tasked with limited technical support on the ERP system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Scheduling orders of raw materials and supplies in collaboration with Purchasing and the Operations Manager. Monitor and control inventory integrity.
- Schedule orders for spare parts, in cooperation with the Maintenance and the Purchasing departments.
- Plan and manage the shipment of finished products according to the procedures prepared in cooperation with Operations and in collaboration with Accounting.
- Establish and maintain an inventory management system to include the physical setup of the warehouse(s) and the system for accurate inventory management. Maintain product identification and location program.
- Develop policies and procedures for the implementation of quality control systems and traceability systems. Assist Quality department to track non-conforming product.
- Manage and train warehouse staff.
- Ensure traceability of the finished product through appropriate use of the information coming from production and proper use of the ERP-system.
- Ensure return to minimum stock of raw materials and consumable materials in the production area in collaboration with Production. Provide guidance to material handlers for inventory tracking on production floor.
- Perform periodic maintenance of the ERP management system, in collaboration with Accounting by updating the "item part numbers" of the finished products, raw materials, consumables, and spare parts. Manage physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations.
- Plan activities for the organization of the warehouse including packing garbage removals.
- Optimize the management of warehouse activities.
- Draft the warehouse budget.
- Prepare periodic inventories of the production and warehouse areas in collaboration with Production. Monitor and organize consumable items to best suit production needs.
- Manage and maintain the warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, electric pump trucks etc.
- Maintain accurate logs, files, and documentation.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds independently and participate in team lifts of approximately 60 pounds as required for essential production tasks.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position or move throughout the production floor for extended periods (for the duration of the shift up to 8+ hours per shift).
- Must be able to operate, position, adjust, or move equipment, tools, or materials necessary for production processes.
- Capable of performing consistent, manual production tasks over long shifts.
- Must be able to work in typical manufacturing environmental conditions, including areas requiring PPE, exposure to noise, and temperature variation.
