This is a remote position. Candidates must reside in Massachusetts, with a strong preference for those located in the Southern Massachusetts area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Established track record promoting and helping to build a strong safety and quality culture across the organization
  • Regularly perform branch and field visits in order to meet volume/quantity targets for the role as set by your direct supervisor
  • Strong track record in training, coaching, development, and mentoring to field personnel
  • Perform field safety and quality inspections as required through Vector
  • Regularly conduct and facilitate training duties (New Hire Onboarding or Battery Training) in order to meet the volume/quantity targets set by the organization
  • Lead Trainer that supports the Secondary Trainers
  • Vocal contributor to a strong team culture by being open to or providing constructive feedback, setting goals, and providing coaching and training
  • Excellent ability to follow and contribute to strong operating structures and support systems to help keep our Operations Leaders and field personnel organized and focused on delivering the greatest possible impact for the company and their regions
  • Work in a team environment to learn, develop, and instruct installation and safety requirements at a branch and regional level
  • Proven track record to form strong partnerships with Operations Leaders and field personnel in order to effectively improve safety, quality and PTO health across the organization
  • Help standardize material usage and installation techniques for residential solar, battery, and electrification projects
  • Provides feedback on updating existing and developing new field training documentation
  • Strong ability to analyze safety, quality, FIC, hrs/kW, and PTO health KPIs to understand areas needing improvement and then take action by developing an improvement plan
  • Consistently review and monitor the performance and progress of the improvement plan and collaborate with Operations Leaders and field personnel in order to drive improvement in the above KPIs
  • Perform Regional End of Month Readouts focusing attention on our performance metrics, areas your region is doing well at, and areas needing improvement
  • Excellent ability in leading training sessions via conference call, in the branch offices, in the field, and in our training facilities
  • Be an expert on Construction Standard Operating Procedures for all products (PV-Only and Solar+Storage)
  • Excellent knowledge on all of our energy storage products
  • Be an expert on all Safety Operating Procedures and products
  • Contribute to safety incident investigations
  • Strong ability at handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing and adapting
  • Strong ability at working effectively with other departments and teams, meet deadlines as well as set and hold others accountable to deadlines
  • Strong ability at working independently and as part of a team, use computers, and computer software to gather and enter key information.
  • Mentor to Associate Efficiency and Training Specialists.

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)

  • Self-motivated with a desire to take on new projects and work with little supervision
  • Excellent ability at adapting to change
  • Bachelor's degree or Journeyman electrician's license or master Electrician level certification (preferred)
  • Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Construction safety background, OSHA training certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the solar industry
  • Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed and make a difference
  • Enjoy working with people, learning and teaching
  • Facilitate training that is memorable, impactful, and full of value
  • Must have a deep understanding and hands on experience with residential solar and battery installation techniques and materials
  • Must understand basic PV solar design principles
  • Professional appearance and customer interaction
  • Have a strong work ethic and high level of craftsmanship/workmanship (strong attention to detail)
  • Past experience in creating technical documentation: bulletins, webinar content and presentations

  • Be able to climb a ladder in order to access 2+ story homes
  • Be able to periodically support our field personnel with their installations both on the roof and on the ground
