What They Do

Cleanworld AS is a private Norwegian brokerage firm that specializes in environmental commodities, particularly focusing on green certificates and biofuels. The company originated in Stavern, Norway, as a broker for Guarantees of Origin (GOs) tied to renewable electricity production and consumption (source: cleanworld.teamtailor.com). Over the years, it has expanded its offerings to include a broader array of environmental commodities, such as certificates for renewable gas and fuels, establishing itself as an independent leader in these fast-growing markets (source: cleanworld.teamtailor.com). The firm serves over 600 business partners globally, leveraging its expertise in the renewable energy sector to provide consultancy and brokerage services that adapt to evolving legislative frameworks in Europe and beyond (source: cleanworld.no).

Projects & Track Record

While Cleanworld AS operates primarily as a brokerage rather than a project developer, it facilitates transactions in environmental commodities rather than building infrastructure. The firm is involved in global brokerage volumes exceeding several TWh per year in green certificates and fuels, although specific completed projects are not detailed in available sources (source: cleanworld.teamtailor.com). Key partnerships include Arctic Securities, which has been a strategic shareholder since 2019, and Greenfact, a research entity in which Cleanworld holds a 43.9% stake (source: arctic.com). The firm’s geographic presence spans offices in Oslo, Sandefjord (Norway), Hamburg (Germany), and Madrid (Spain), indicating a strong European focus with a global reach (source: cleanworld.teamtailor.com).

Recent Developments

In the last two years, Cleanworld AS has not made any major announcements, contracts won, acquisitions, mergers, or funding rounds. The most notable event remains the 2019 acquisition by Arctic Securities, with no updates on new developments or project costs since then (source: arctic.com). The company's website highlights ongoing brokerage of TWh-scale volumes and client growth to over 600 partners, but lacks dated press releases for 2024-2025 (source: cleanworld.no).

Working There

Cleanworld AS offers roles primarily in brokerage, trading, and support functions within departments like Fuels & Feedstocks. The company emphasizes market expertise in environmental commodities, with key personnel including Managing Director Aron Simon and CEO Robin Timoteo (source: rocketreach.co). Hiring occurs via their Teamtailor careers page, focused on the Oslo office, suggesting opportunities for brokers, analysts, and consultants experienced in renewables trading (source: cleanworld.teamtailor.com). The culture is characterized by a skilled, international team that values market knowledge and adaptability to regulatory changes, promoting itself as a dedicated partner in energy transitions (source: cleanworld.teamtailor.com).
