Job Description

Do you have a passion for topography, hydrography or geography? Then we invite you to take part in a compelling internship, where you will actively be involved in survey works. Work together with seasoned professionals on real projects and get valuable experience in survey works on dredging, offshore, infra or environmental projects. Your responsibilities

Do you want to play a role in guiding our projects with your survey skills and at the same time gain valuable experience? Then become a DEME Intern and take part of a dynamic environment where you get the chance to be part of several survey tasks:

  • Hydrographic & topographic surveys using state of the art technology to support of our site/vessel operations
  • Supporting installation, calibration and maintenance of a wide range of survey sensors
  • Preparation of deliverables to steer our operations
  • Boarding one of our vessels for a minimum of one rotation (depending on activity line) - Gaining practical experience by working onboard a vessel for at least one full rotation.
  • Joining the team of experienced surveyors and receiving hands-on training - Learning directly from seasoned professionals in the field, developing essential surveying skills.
  • Being part of operations under guidance - Assisting in real-time offshore operations while being supervised by experts.
  • Operating navigation software after training - Learning to use specialized navigation tools to assist in offshore surveying and positioning.
  • Using TS in the offshore environment - Applying Total Station equipment for precise measurements in offshore conditions.
  • Helping with setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting - Assisting in the installation, upkeep, and problem-solving of surveying and navigation systems.
  • Support survey team to allow our projects to be delivered within the contractual agreed parameters
  • Depending on your field of interest and knowledge you will be appointed to a specific project.

Your profile

  • You are a student in survey related studies (hydrography, topography, geography).
  • You master English both in writing and oral.
  • You are willing to work on a project in Belgium, the Netherlands or Worldwide.
  • Hands-on Experience: A deep dive in real survey works on construction projects and the chance to turn your theoretical experience in practical experience.
  • Professional Guidance: Work next to an experienced surveyor who will be your mentor during your internship.
