Job Description

The Manufacturing BoM Management department is responsible for the Bills of Materials (BoM) throughout the product lifecycle for the Towers and Assembly area (Nacelle, Hub, Powertrain and Generator) and Engineering Change Management (ECM) in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Technology Transfer (TT) projects within those areas. We deliver Generators, PTR, Hubs, and Nacelle modules for turbines. This means handling tasks with significant impact across various parts of the organization and throughout the value chain-from design and sourcing to manufacturing and service.

Our mission is to ensure that detailed designs are ready for implementation and that ramp-up in serial production is executed according to agreed targets. The role includes creating and updating master data for BoMs, configuring Production BoMs, controlling BoM releases and upgrades, and maintaining Manufacturing BoMs.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain BOMs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Align BOM activities with engineering, sourcing, and production.
  • Validate data and manage BOM releases for design changes.
  • Maintain material structures and extend MSI to plants.
  • Support Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and restructure BOMs for new models.
  • Ensure production uses the latest BOM.
  • Drive automation initiatives and transition to configurable BOM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Production, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in global manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Proficiency in Product Data Management (PDM), ECM, and process optimization.
  • Practical experience with PLM systems (Windchill) and ERP (SAP/S4HANA).
  • Proficient understanding of configurable BoMs, variant management, and modular product architecture.
  • Experience in digital transformation and data-driven process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end value chain, enabling cross-functional optimization
