Job Description

The APAC OT Network team serves as an escalation point for technical issues that are complex in nature which are escalated from the customer / program / operation team. The position provides in-depth technical support by working across departments within L+G and Customer teams. The Network team is responsible for driving a resolution to technical / functional issues. If technical issues cannot be resolved. The position requires strong technical, customer management skills and knowledge of business processes & functions to implement new projects and resolve customer's issues.

Key Performance Indicators / Dimension of Function

  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, to ensure robust security controls and compliance.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise networks, ensuring seamless service delivery to internal, hosted, and managed service environments.
  • Monitor network performance using advanced tools, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and triage network, security, and connectivity incidents across customer-facing and internal environments.
  • Collaborate with telecom providers and vendors for timely escalation and resolution of network related issues.
  • Ensure reliable WAN connectivity and overall network stability across distributed environments.
  • Leverage knowledge of public cloud platforms (GCP and Azure) to support hybrid and cloud based network operations.

  • Strong knowledge in SD-WAN, ACI, DCNM.
  • Good to have Scripting knowledge and TCL language.
  • Must have experience on routing protocols like EGP & IGP and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of working in Visio and knows about SolarWinds.
  • Understanding of DHCP, DNS, VMware, Datacenter Architecture.
  • Strong hands-on with Switching technologies, IPS, GTM.
  • Knowledge of IP subnetting and the OSI model.
  • Understanding of Cisco devices, specifically Cisco routers & switches and Cisco Firepower and ASA firewalls.
  • Understanding firewall security policies involving objects, rules, NATs, inspection policies, etc.
  • Experience with Algosec , Gigamon taps, and F5 load balancers.
  • Must be customer-service-minded and tactful when dealing with customers.

Minimum qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech. (Electronics and Communications/Computer Science/IT) from a four-year college or university degree from a technical institution.
  • Knowledge of software operating systems, networking, and applications (Good to have).
  • Experience with utility operations, AMI operations is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT Networking.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent any graduate degree.
  • CCIE/CCNA network certification.
  • ITIL V3 Foundation certified.
  • Energy Utility operations experience is a plus.
  • Experience in working with solutions involving both software and hardware.
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to interact with end-users a must.
