About the Role
Are you a proactive and results-driven professional with a passion for building strong client relationships and delivering commercial success?
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Account Manager, to join our Laverton North team on a full-time basis, to maintain and grow key client relationships, maximise revenue, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. This role plays a critical part in driving business performance through strategic account management, proactive sales planning, and identifying growth opportunities. This position focuses on both protecting existing revenue streams and expanding accounts through customer-centric solutions, accurate forecasting, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Retention
- Manage and grow key customer accounts to achieve revenue targets.
- Deliver monthly performance reporting against budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor KPIs, identify risks, and ensure compliance with internal processes.
- Oversee contract administration, including customer-driven changes.
- Analyse pricing, order volumes, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, account plans, and forecasts.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across internal teams.
Account Growth & Commercial Delivery
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and new accounts.
- Support pricing strategies, tenders, and commercial negotiations.
- Align sales activities with operational capacity and profitability targets.
- Contribute to annual sales planning and budgeting.
- Provide customers with training, guidance, and tailored solutions.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tenders, quotations, and orders.
Collaboration, Leadership & Compliance
- Support and guide Sales and Customer Service teams.
- Partner with Marketing to promote products and services.
- Deliver accurate KPI reporting, financial updates, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Participate in audits, site inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strong engagement with key internal and external stakeholders.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in account management or B2B sales.
- Proven success managing key accounts and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong experience in forecasting, budgeting, and contract management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, including executives.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience using CRM systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office (SAP highly regarded).
- Exposure to the energy sector i.e. gas and/or electricity (desirable).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
