We are looking for a Workshop Mechanic to work for 12 months in our Workshop in Quito, Ecuador. This is a temporary position.

Role and responsibilities

  1. Perform and complete the technical tasks in accordance with instructions provided by the Workshop Team Leader, product instruction manual and safety-first mindset.
  2. Support during WS services, repairs and special services on equipment, components and auxiliaries as per your individual development plan following the instructions in the product manuals and technical documentations.
  3. Record the measurement data on the relevant documents as per company procedures.
  4. Interact with WS team, FS back office and customer representative during the work execution in a professional way.
  5. Report periodically the working and idle hours and expenses as per the local instructions and corporate FS &WS process.
  6. Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsila Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer procedures.
  7. Be available to attend company and customer assignments locally or abroad.
  8. Demonstrate Wärtsilä values.
  9. Comply with all legal requirements applicable to our local operations, local internal work regulations defined in the local Employee Handbook, local rules, norms and procedures, guidelines and corporate policies (E.g. Code of Conduct).

  • Mechanical Superior Technology/Engineering
