Job Description
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Silfab Solar's solar products through the testing and analysis of PV cells and modules. The Technician will play a vital role in maintaining our commitment to producing high-performance and durable solar solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control tests and inspections on incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished PV cells and modules to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
- Operate and maintain testing equipment, including but not limited to, spectrometers, current-voltage (IV) curve testers, thermal imaging cameras, and EL (electroluminescence) testers.
- Identify and document product defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and improvement of testing procedures and protocols to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues and participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of testing data and results.
