Job Description
The installation project manager at INOPC will be a member of PGHV - CH 2657 team and will contribute towards the effective functioning of Installation project management team. The installation project manager will support the day to day activities of GIS Installation project management team at factories that works on a wide range of international GIS projects.
How you'll make an impact
- Co-ordinate with different Installation project managers at different GIS factories to gather information on the sites forecasted for the year and prepare plan for deployment of I & C engineers to these sites to ensure consistent utilization of the I & C engineers.
- To handle logistics of material from ordering and until delivery at site. To co-ordinate with logistics department and supply chain.
- Closely work with I & C departments in factories to plan for training of I & C engineers in different GIS product variants. Maintain Skill matrix of I & C engineers with periodic updates.
- Proactively engage with GIS project managers and obtain relevant drawings and documents related to the site and conduct kick-off meeting with INOPC engineers before they start travel to site.
- Proactively identify ways to improve efficiency of I & C activities and regularly interact with I &C engineers and the units to ensure the initiatives are implemented at the sites.
- Conduct weekly calls with the I & C engineers who are working at site to keep track on Site HSE situations, Hazards reported, Hazards closed. Ensure adequate PPE are always available for the I & C engineers and keep track of validity of the PPE.
- Maintain KPI for the I & C team in a central location and update and generate weekly reports and present to the management. Collect all the signed timesheets from the I & C engineers working in the site and maintain them in a central location.
- Obtain necessary travel approval for I & C engineers and ensure they are traveling to the site with the right type of visa.
- Safety - Understand and follow Hitachi OH&S procedures and guidelines.
- You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- You hold a bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in GIS installation management or Project management in factory.
- Sound knowledge in handling logistics of materials from factory to site.
- Hands on experience in working with SAP for handling NCR and material ordering and delivery tracking, hands on experience in co-ordinating with Logistics department and supply chain department.
- Sound knowledge of working with MS office tools (Word, Power point, Excel and MS project).
- Good knowledge on site HSE requirements.
- Ability to summarize meeting outcomes.
- English: fluent in speaking and writing.
