Job Description
All Energy Contracting (AEC) is a leading construction contractor specialising in the energy and renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, storage, and hybrid facilities. Our core services comprise civil works, trenching, cable installation, electrical and mechanical installations, terminations, testing, commissioning (DC, LV, HV), operations support and maintenance expertise. We are interested in Operators who have knowledge and experience in a variety of Plant and equipment, in exchange we offer a competitive rate of pay, supportive working environment, and new equipment. This role requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. We are looking for someone who is reliable, adaptable, and possesses a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Operating a range of earthmoving heavy plant machinery in a safe and effective manner including but not limited to Excavator, Dozer, Moxy, Loader, Compactor, Roller, Laser Bucket, Dump Truck etc.
- Preparation, positioning, general care, maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment as needed.
- Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation and identify any issues or defects.
- Excavate, load, transport soil, gravel and other materials to compact and/or cover waste in accordance with company/contractual requirements and applicable regulations.
- Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions, operating procedures and company regulations.
- Complying with all WHS safety practices and procedures.
- Demonstrating commitment to environmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional image, cleanliness and organisation of work area.
- Complete required paperwork such as maintenance logs.
- Continuously learn and develop skills necessary to operate machinery and equipment in the plant.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience (4+ years) with capable precision work
- Construction induction Card
- Current operator tickets/licences/statements of attainment
- Valid drivers license
- High level of understanding of the importance of Health and Safety
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines
- Willingness to work away on different project sites Australia-wide
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on machinery and equipment
