What They Do

Trinity Solar specializes in residential solar installation, focusing on distributed solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and complementary services such as solar-plus-storage and roofing. The company began offering solar-specific services in the mid-2000s and has since grown to become one of the largest privately held residential solar installers in the United States, with operations expanding across the Northeast and selected Sun Belt states (source: bbb.org). Their comprehensive service portfolio includes site evaluation, system design, permitting, equipment procurement, professional installation, and customer care, all aimed at providing homeowners with effective solar solutions (source: trinitysolar.com). Trinity positions itself as a full-service installer, differentiating from smaller contractors by maintaining in-house capabilities across sales, design, and installation (source: solarpowerworldonline.com).

Projects & Track Record

Trinity Solar has a significant track record in residential solar installations, having reported over 20,600 systems installed, totaling approximately 218.5 MW by 2016 (source: solarpowerworldonline.com). The company primarily focuses on distributed rooftop systems rather than large utility-scale projects, which means their project portfolio consists of thousands of individual home installations across various states (source: energysage.com). While specific large project names are not typically highlighted, Trinity's emphasis on cumulative installation numbers showcases their extensive experience and operational scale in the residential market (source: solarpowerworldonline.com).

Recent Developments

In recent years, Trinity Solar has expanded its operations into new markets, including Delaware and New Hampshire, as part of its strategy to meet growing residential demand for solar energy (source: njbiz.com). The company has also been recognized in various industry rankings for its growth and scale, reflecting its ongoing commitment to enhancing its service offerings and geographic reach (source: solarpowerworldonline.com). As a private entity, Trinity's operational milestones are often reported in local trade press rather than large financial outlets, making it essential for stakeholders to monitor regional news for updates on their activities (source: highperformr.ai).

Working There

Trinity Solar employs a diverse range of roles across various departments, including sales, installation, design, project management, and customer service. The company operates regional offices in multiple states, providing ample opportunities for job seekers in the solar industry (source: trinitysolar.com). Employee reviews on platforms like Indeed indicate a mixed-to-positive work environment, with ratings varying by office location and role, suggesting a dynamic workplace culture (source: indeed.com). Benefits typically include health insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) plans, although specific details may vary by position and are often provided during the hiring process (source: trinitysolar.com).

Job Description

This is a demanding, high-accountability role that operates at the pace of the CEO and executive leadership team. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly and where responsiveness, urgency, and execution are critical.

This position requires a significant commitment of time, attention, and ownership. Periods of extended work hours, including evening and weekend work, should be expected based on business priorities, strategic initiatives, and project deadlines. Candidates seeking a predictable schedule or a traditional work-life balance-focused role may find this position is not the right fit.

In return, this role provides exceptional exposure to executive leadership, direct involvement in enterprise-level decision-making, and the opportunity to contribute to some of the company's most important strategic initiatives. It is designed for individuals who are motivated by challenge, thrive under pressure, and are seeking an accelerated professional growth opportunity.

Base salary of $125,000, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus of up to 20% of base salary, based on individual and company performance.

Solar, Roofing or Home Services experience is a huge plus

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end quantitative analysis on high-priority strategic projects of the CEO.
  • Build and maintain models, dashboards, and data frameworks that drive decisions across operations, finance, sales, and growth.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, process flow charts, briefings, and progress reports on active projects.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, sales, operations, and corporate teams to diagnose performance gaps and design continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Operate as a trusted extension of the CEO's office - handling sensitive, time-critical work with discretion and speed.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-5 years of experience in operations, finance, or accounting; background in consulting, corporate strategy, or FP&A is also valued.
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills - you think in data and process. You build models instinctively.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including working with large, complex datasets. Fluency with Claude AI Excel plugins is required; experience with SQL, Python, or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-stakes workstreams simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - you can distill complexity for a C-suite audience.
  • Highly collaborative with the conviction to defend your point of view and the humility to keep an open mind - best idea wins.
  • Unquestioned integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • A self-starter who thrives without hand-holding - you take ownership, figure it out, and deliver.
