About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the factory build, setup, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of our industrial SCADA systems and control room equipment. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, working closely with manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure equipment is assembled, configured, tested, and released in accordance with defined quality standards before shipment.

The ideal candidate has prior design for production environment experience, and can follow established work instructions, test procedures, and checklists while supporting setup, testing, documentation, and issue resolution during factory activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop power and network design drawings, Panel layout and equipment mounting
  • Ability to design and review drawings using tools like AutoCAD, or similar
  • Support factory assembly readiness by coordinating with manufacturing reviewing build status and ensuring equipment is prepared for shipment.
  • Witness and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities executed by factory technicians, including reviewing test readiness, observing tests, and capturing issues and deviations.
  • Support verification of device configuration and build quality against approved templates, configuration files, and build standards.
  • Perform on-site commissioning and support commissioning activities, including system startup, functional checks, and verification against commissioning procedures.
  • Support on-site integration with field devices, RTUs, networks, and control room systems, and troubleshoot issues identified during commissioning.
  • Identify, document, and help troubleshoot build, wiring, configuration, or integration issues discovered during factory testing or on-site commissioning.
  • Validate communication between site equipment during commissioning
  • Verify protocol communication such as Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3, and similar industrial protocols based on predefined mappings.
  • Check data points, alarms, and status signals against approved project requirements and test plans.
  • Support basic network validation (device connectivity, VLAN assignment verification, IP addressing checks)
  • Develop and maintain scripts (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell) for device configuration and testing, diagnostics, etc

Required Qualifications and Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Engineering Technology.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Electrical engineering, system integration.
  • Experience supporting FAT, production testing, or manufacturing validation activities
  • Ability to follow wiring diagrams, build instructions, test procedures, and controlled documentation.
  • Experience with industrial networking concepts (IP addressing, VLANs, switch connectivity)
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU or DNP3.
  • Willingness to travel for FAT or commissioning support.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to EMS, SCADA, BESS, or renewable energy systems.
  • Experience working in ISO-aligned or quality-controlled manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with quality processes (checklists, nonconformance tracking, corrective actions) in a manufacturing environment.
