Job Description

The PLM Engineer will play a key role in managing, improving, and migrating engineering data within PTC Windchill. This position supports Engineering and Design teams by ensuring accurate, consistent, and high-quality CAD and product data throughout the product lifecycle. As a Windchill and CAD data expert, the PLM Engineer will drive data clean-up initiatives, enable smooth system migrations, and help establish best practices for PLM governance and CAD data management across the organization.

How you'll make an impact

  • Serve as a key contributor and subject-matter expert for Windchill PLM and CAD data management activities.
  • Extract and collect product and CAD data from multiple design and legacy systems in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve data clean-up processes and procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data in Windchill.
  • Review CAD models and assemblies to ensure they are complete, accurate, and compliant with company standards and engineering procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Design teams to understand requirements and provide hands-on support for Windchill CAD management. Partner with stakeholders to define data migration scope, requirements, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Develop and execute detailed migration plans, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and post-migration verification.
  • Work with legacy system owners to extract required data while ensuring data integrity throughout the migration process. Identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues such as missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to CAD clean-up and migration activities, including reports, progress summaries, and process improvement recommendations.
  • Provide training, onboarding, and ongoing support to end users on Windchill usage and data quality best practices.
  • Actively contribute to improving PLM processes, standards, and automation opportunities.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable internal procedures, engineering standards, and data governance guidelines.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related field with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PTC Creo and Windchill PLM. Solid understanding of PLM/PDM concepts and Windchill system architecture.
  • Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation techniques. Proven experience in Windchill data migration and CAD data clean-up projects.
  • Good knowledge of Windchill PLM configuration and customization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
