Job Description
Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investments? If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is the perfect place for you! We are currently looking for ambitious Analysts (Student Assistants) to join our Advanced Bioenergy Fund (ABF) Investment Team in Copenhagen.
The Advanced Bioenergy Fund (ABF) at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) invests in advanced bioenergy infrastructure across Europe and North America, converting sustainable agricultural, household, and industrial biowaste into green gas, advanced biofuels, fertilizers, and biogenic CO??? to decarbonize hard toa bate sectors such as industry, maritime shipping, aviation, and agriculture. The fund addresses global challenges including pollution reduction, biodiversity preservation, and energy security while enabling immediate drop in renewable fuel solutions compatible with existing infrastructure. The ABF team is a highly skilled, collaborative group of investment professionals with deep experience across energy, infrastructure, finance, project development, and operations, collaborating closely from early-stage concept development through construction and operational phases. With more than 30 experienced team members-including Partners, Directors, Investment Managers, Associates, Analysts, and Senior Advisors-the team works together to deliver impactful, commercially robust projects that advance the energy transition while creating long-term value.
Role
As a Student Assistant (internally called Analyst) in Advanced Bioenergy Fund Investment Team, you will contribute to transaction processes, preparing for investment decisions, analyzing and reporting on investment performance and various other tasks. You will work closely together with highly experienced colleagues in an international and dynamic environment. We will constantly seek to inspire you, while focusing on your learning and personal development. Working with our skilled team members, you will build a solid commercial and contractual understanding of renewable energy infrastructure projects and how they are financed. Furthermore, as an Analyst you will be part of a program designed to develop your skills and qualify you for a potential full-time Associate position upon graduation.
Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to
- Preparation of Investment Committee materials
- Visualization and presentation of technical and financial data to stakeholders
- Financial modelling of large complex infrastructure assets including project finance
- Market analysis and due diligence of new investment opportunities
- Working together with industrial partners and advisors
- Ad-hoc analyses in close collaboration with other team members
The position is part-time and based in our headquarters in Nord??. The workload will vary depending on the numbers of projects you are working on, and you will be given the opportunity to influence your daily routine and schedule.
You
CIP is looking for 2nd and 3rd year BSc students or incoming MSc students in Economics, Business or any other relevant field. We especially encourage to apply Economics students from the University of Copenhagen.

- High academic achievements
- Great communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
- Interest in corporate finance, strategy, and renewable energy
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical aptitude and structured and project-oriented approach to work
- Ability to deliver high quality output in a time-sensitive setting
- Curious and creative mindset and spirit of inquiry
- Ability to work with limited supervision, at the same time enjoying teamwork and engaging with colleagues at all levels of seniority
- Experience in energy and infrastructure is beneficial, but not a requirement
Please note that we do not offer a remote working opportunity, thus you must be a Danish resident or an upcoming student enrolled in a Danish university to be eligible for this role. Students on exchange in Denmark are not considered eligible for this position.
