Job Description

Green Building Rating Consultancy

• Lead and support certification projects under: GRIHA, IGBC, LEED, EDGE
• Conduct gap analysis and feasibility assessments for achieving targeted rating levels.
• Prepare and review documentation required for certification submissions.
• Coordinate with certification agencies and facilitate the certification process from registration to final award.

Technical Assessment and Compliance

• Evaluate project compliance with green building rating requirements.
• Review architectural, MEP, landscape, and sustainability design submissions.
• Conduct assessments related to: Energy efficiency, Water efficiency, Sustainable materials, Waste management, Indoor environmental quality, Climate resilience and resource efficiency

Project Management and Client Coordination

• Manage multiple sustainability consultancy projects simultaneously.
• Coordinate with architects, developers, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in client meetings, technical reviews, workshops, and site visits.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely submission of deliverables.

Research and Knowledge Development

• Contribute to development of sustainability frameworks, technical guidelines, toolkits, and best-practice documents.
• Support proposal preparation, business development, and knowledge dissemination activities.
• Keep abreast of emerging developments in green buildings, Net Zero buildings, embodied carbon, ESG, circular economy, and sustainable construction.

Capacity Building and Outreach

• Support delivery of training programmes, workshops, and awareness sessions related to green buildings and sustainability.
• Assist in development of technical presentations, reports, and knowledge products.

Qualification

Essential

• Bachelor-s Degree Civil Engineering- Mechanical Engineering- Environmental Engineering- Building Engineering- or a related discipline.
• Master-s Degree in Sustainable Buildings- Environmental Design- Building Science- Energy Engineering- Environmental Management- Urban Development- or a related field.

Preferred

• Additional qualifications or certifications in sustainability- climate change- ESG- green buildings- energy efficiency- or environmental management.

Skills

Technical Skills

• Thorough understanding of: GRIHA Rating System- IGBC Rating Systems- LEED Rating Systems and EDGE Certification Framework
• Knowledge of: ECBC/ECSBC- National Building Code (NBC)- Energy-efficient building design- Thermal comfort and passive design- Building materials and embodied carbon- Water and waste management systems- Net Zero and low-carbon buildings and Climate-resilient building design

Mandatory Professional Certifications

The candidate must possess valid professional credentials in:

• GRIHA Certified Professional (GRIHA CP)
• IGBC Accredited Professional (IGBC AP)
• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) or LEED Green Associate
• EDGE Expert

Software Skills

Proficiency in one or more of the following: AutoCAD- SketchUp- Revit- DesignBuilder- eQuest- IES-VE- ClimateStudio- Ladybug Tools / Honeybee- MS Excel (advanced)- Power BI (preferred)- MS Project (preferred)

• Demonstrated experience in managing certification projects under GRIHA- IGBC- LEED- and EDGE.
• Experience working with developers- architects- government agencies- and institutional clients will be preferred.
