Job Description

Do you thrive in leading complex, high-stakes projects in a global organisation? Then you might be our new Finance Transformation Project Manager.

Join us on an exciting Finance transformation journey where we are building a modern, globally integrated Finance function. We are creating a solid, standardized backbone supported by a global operating model and a world-class Shared Service Center, enabling consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the business. At the same time, we are elevating the role of Finance by improving business partnering through better data, standardized reporting, and enhanced capabilities. As we reinforce planning and forecasting to support long-term strategy, you will be part of a multi-year transformation that reshapes structures, roles, and ways of working, positioning Finance as a trusted, strategic partner to leadership. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in building the future of Finance in a fast-changing, global environment.

The Finance Transformation Office will be a team of four professionals responsible for overseeing Vestas' finance transformation agenda. We ensure that strategic finance initiatives are delivered in a structured, transparent, and value-focused manner.

Acting as the central hub, the office enables alignment across Finance, Digital Solutions, and the wider business. We support change adoption and ensure that transformation initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes that align to the long-term direction and objectives of the organisation.

Responsibilities

As Finance Transformation Project Manager, you will manage selected initiatives from the Finance transformation roadmap end to end. Your role spans project management, change management, and stakeholder communication.

You will be responsible for

  • Managing end-to-end delivery of Finance transformation projects, from shaping and planning through execution and benefits realization
  • Owning overall project governance, including scope, timeline, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies; carefully identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks and issues
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams across Finance, Digital Solutions, and the wider business to ensure aligned and effective delivery
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and facilitate decision-making forums, ensuring clear communication, progress reporting, and effective support for informed decisions
  • Ensuring adherence to agreed standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks within the Finance Transformation Office
  • Facilitating change management activities in close collaboration with Finance and business stakeholders to support adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working; supporting continuous improvement of delivery models, tools, and best practices across the transformation portfolio
  • Mentoring and supporting less-experienced project managers and contributing to building project management capabilities within Finance

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you are an experienced project manager with a solid background in finance and strategy, gained in a matrix organisation or similar. You also bring

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance transformation, management consulting, or in-house finance or strategy roles within complex, global organisations
  • Experience interacting with senior and executive management, guiding decision-making in a structured, fact-based manner
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives in changing business environments
  • Experience working in an international, cross-cultural corporate setting
  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken
