Its activities focus on renewable energy production, network operations, energy supply, storage, trading, distribution, and services such as energy efficiency and electromobility. The group is structured around three pillars: Enovos for supply and renewable energies, Creos for networks, and Teseos for services, including decentralized production and ecomobility (source: encevo.eu). Encevo stands out for its integrated model that covers production to distribution and its leading position in the Luxembourg market.
Projects and Background
Among the notable projects completed by Encevo are the first large-scale photovoltaic installations in Luxembourg, as well as parking canopies and floating photovoltaic projects. These initiatives have been carried out in partnership with companies such as RTL Group, ArcelorMittal, and Cactus, contributing to a total renewable capacity of nearly 250 MW in Luxembourg. Additionally, the Südeifel photovoltaic park, set to be operational in spring 2024, will have a capacity of over 200 MW, making it the largest in the Greater Region (source: encevo.eu). Encevo continues to expand its portfolio with additional wind and photovoltaic projects in Luxembourg and neighboring countries.
Recent Developments
In the past two years, Encevo has launched the Südeifel photovoltaic park, reorganized its operations in Germany by selling its stake in Creos Deutschland Holding GmbH, and appointed Laurence Zenner as CEO of Creos Luxembourg in July 2023. Furthermore, the group has secured a seven-year concession for the Chargy/SuperChargy networks, which will be managed by charge@lux starting in 2025. Encevo has also obtained ISO 50001/2018 certification for its Esch-sur-Alzette site, affirming its leadership in energy management (source: encevo.eu). These developments reflect Encevo's commitment to innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.
