Job Description

Digital Solutions in Vestas leads end-to-end digitalization within Vestas. You will help improve IT efficiency, integrate digital solutions further into our customer offering, improve our employees' digital experience, and support our core processes across the value chain.

Our department, Network & Core Platform, is a part of the Digital Solutions area.

Our DevOps team is responsible for designing, developing & operating the network infrastructure services we build. The team is responsible for WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, data center network, cloud networking, and all the supporting systems associated. The Network Connectivity DevOps team is end-to-end responsible from Architecture to Operations.

Our team aims to provide seamless and secure global network services, even ahead of business needs. A highly trusted, secure, and well-designed network infrastructure is key to this vision. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Core Infrastructure & Network, you will bring your deep knowledge of system management and design into play in both working with roadmaps, technical design, new implementations, and the ongoing maturing of existing platforms and services.

Responsibilities

  • One of your focus areas will be the continuing maintenance of our hundreds of containers that run in a combination of Docker and Kubernetes. Your responsibility is to ensure stable environments for both prod, test, and dev. You will also bring your automation skills into play to ensure that application-level config on hosts is always in sync, and we can seamlessly add or remove environments as they come and go
  • You will ensure that CI/CD Pipelines are optimized and help with automatic deployments of software on our many Linux hosts
  • Another high-priority area will be the continuous development of our monitoring platform, which is built on a ClickHouse/Influx/Grafana stack. You will, together with highly skilled developers and network engineers, ensure that every aspect of our environment is fully monitored, and all the correct alerting is set up

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in IT, engineering, science, or related fields
  • Experience working with the development and support of large networks
  • 5-7 years' experience in a similar job
  • Relevant Certifications as an alternative to formal education, like RHCSA, RHCE, or similar
  • Several years of experience as a system administrator using scripting and automation tools
  • Several years of experience with containers and Kubernetes
  • Experience with the following is beneficial
    • Networking space, you could be certified CCNA, CCNP or similar
    • Python, OpenAPI, CI/CD, Azure DevOps
    • Influx, ClickHouse, Kafka, Redis, or Grafana
