At Semco Maritime you will be joining our dedicated Product Line Team in our Renewables Division whose mission is to develop solutions for Offshore Substations engineered and constructed together with our close partners. Our goal is to standardize solutions while maintaining flexibility to align client needs with supplier capabilities. Offshore substation industrialisation is the key enabler for the green transition worldwide, and as such, your product solutions will need to reflect that. We have the largest project portfolio within offshore substations worldwide, so you will join a well-established company in growth and work with a team of changers.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As our new Electrical Engineer for High Voltage, you will be responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of the products and solutions offerings for our offshore substation product line.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • HV/MV product and solutions development and maintenance in line with future market requirements
  • Proposal development based on the architecture framework and the client's requirements
  • Working closely with our Tender team focusing on our customers Employer Requirements and Semco Maritimes own modular architecture
  • Maintain knowledge on market demand and implement product improvements and requirements for product line to fit future projects
  • Coordinate and secure strategic supply chain together with Procurement, including cost-out activities
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap with input on new technologies from the supply chain, organization, and the market
  • Provide supervision and guidance to the development and execution teams

The successful candidate will be expected to form strong working relationships with the other existing teams e.g., in sales, tender, project management, construction, and most importantly, our in-house engineering organisation.

Your profile & qualifications

You are an experienced HV professional with a product development mindset, preferably coming from either an OEM or from an engineering organisation. Your collaborative spirit and commercial acumen will thrive in our international setting. In addition, you are a proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset, analytical prowess, and a solution-oriented approach.

To succeed in this position, we expect that you:

  • Have experience with design, procurement and construction of the high voltage and medium voltage systems, such as electrical distribution, power transformers and GIS switchgear.
  • Are familiar with industrial layout design, routing, 3D modelling, structural and weight estimation of high voltage components, preferably on Offshore Substations
  • Have experience with interface management across systems
  • Possess excellent communication skills in English
