Job Description

We're looking for a Sales Development Manager to join our Customer Business Sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver sales strategies for new products and propositions across a range of sales channels, including digital, telesales and face-to-face. You'll play a key role in driving growth, improving customer acquisition and helping ScottishPower deliver innovative solutions that create long-term value for customers and the business.

Working closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Customer Insight and wider Customer Business teams, you'll lead the successful implementation of new propositions from concept through to operational delivery. This role offers the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, develop strategic partnerships and contribute to ScottishPower's wider growth ambitions.

What you'll be doing

You'll support the development and delivery of sales strategies that drive ambitious growth targets across multiple channels. Working with internal and external stakeholders, you'll help launch new products and propositions, ensuring sales processes, controls and customer journeys are designed for long-term success. You'll collaborate on campaign planning, mobilization and implementation activities, ensuring sales channels are fully equipped to deliver strong commercial performance.

You'll act as the sales lead for integrating new propositions into core sales operations, working closely with senior managers and directors to provide insight, recommendations and performance updates. You'll analyse sales performance, pipeline activity and conversion data to identify opportunities for improvement, while developing reporting and performance measures that support sustainable growth. You'll also build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to enhance customer value and profitability.

What you'll bring

We're looking for a commercially minded sales professional with experience delivering successful sales or marketing initiatives and managing projects from design through to operational implementation. You'll be comfortable working across multiple priorities and capable of turning strategic ideas into measurable outcomes.

  • Strong sales, commercial and business development experience, with a track record of delivering high-performing campaigns and driving growth.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion and sales outcomes.
  • Experience engaging, influencing and presenting to senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver against demanding deadlines.
  • Knowledge of customer acquisition, sales pipelines and customer engagement strategies.
  • An interest in market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies, ideally within the utilities or related sectors.
  • Experience working with outsourced sales partners, contact centres or third-party sales providers would be advantageous.
