Your Missions
In the context of Renvolt's establishment as a standalone entity following the carve-out from Voltalia, the Accountant Ireland ensures the production of accurate financial information for Renvolt Irish entity. This includes accounting entries, monthly/quarterly/annual closings, VAT returns, IFRS reporting via OneStream, and maintaining general ledger integrity. Reports to the Finance Manager Portugal & Ireland (PT hub).
Ireland is grouped under the Portugal hub given the existing team structure, shared ERP platform (IFS), and operational synergies between both countries. Ireland is today the most contributive country for Renvolt, representing approximately nearly half of the group's total revenue, making this role critical for the financial oversight of Renvolt's largest market.
Accounting & Financial Closings
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with Irish GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Control intercompany flows and perform monthly ICP validation and reconciliation.
- Process income statement and balance sheet in OneStream, including IFRS homogenisation journals.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding queries. Issue customer invoices and monitor customer accounts. Maintain fixed asset register.
- Support external audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Tax Compliance & Regulatory
- Prepare and file VAT, Corporation Tax (CT1), relevant contracts tax (RCT) and other returns via Revenue Online Service (ROS).
- File annual returns with the Companies Registration Office (CRO).
- Support the Finance Manager with transfer pricing documentation for Irish entity.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure correct accounting and tax treatment of operations.
ERP Support & Continuous Improvement
- Act as support referent for IFS for the Irish accounting scope.
- Identify and communicate ERP system improvements, issues and accounting process enhancements.
- Build on existing processes and implement improvements in line with Renvolt group policies.
- Support the transition to standalone Finance processes in the context of the carve-out.
- May perform other administrative or operational tasks compatible with the role.
Qualifications & Experiences
- Degree Level: Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics
- At least 8-10 years of experience in Accounting & Corporate Finance
Knowledge Area
- Experience in Accounting, Tax compliance and Finance operations management
- Must have in-depth knowledge in advanced function for Excel, Power Point, Word, Power Query/database, Power BI and automated dashboards.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of ERP finance applications, local tax systems (PT: SNC, AT Portal / IE: ROS).
- Must have in-depth knowledge of consolidation and reporting tools (OneStream).
- Working knowledge of IFS ERP and Microsoft F&O is a strong advantage.
