What They Do

Zero Homes is a technology company dedicated to simplifying home electrification and residential retrofits through a digital-first workflow. Founded in 2023, the company leverages smartphone technology and a precision design platform to create full digital models of homes, enabling virtual home assessments and eliminating the need for in-person visits, which saves customers both time and money (source: sjfventures.com, canarymedia.com). Their core focus is on heat pumps and related home upgrades, providing homeowners with transparent pricing, expert installation, and a curated installer network to facilitate the entire renovation process (source: zerohomes.com). Zero Homes targets residential homeowners seeking electrification solutions while also serving contractors by streamlining design, quoting, and installation coordination (source: indeed.com). Their mission is to electrify every home and power a happier, healthier, and sustainable world through innovative technology and service (source: indeed.com).

Projects & Track Record

A notable project includes the launch of Xcel Energy’s $10 million Neighborhood Retrofit Program, which Zero Homes highlights as a key initiative to accelerate residential electrification through their digital platform (source: zerohomes.com). Their platform’s ability to generate precise digital home models and facilitate seamless renovation processes has been recognized for removing barriers for both homeowners and contractors, enabling efficient heat pump installations at scale (source: sjfventures.com). This combination of technology and service delivery positions Zero Homes as a leader in the residential retrofit and home electrification market.

Recent Developments

In February 2026, Zero Homes announced a $16.8 million Series A funding round led by Prelude Ventures, with participation from SJF Ventures, Exelon Foundation, VoLo Earth Ventures, Overture VC, and FJ Labs, aimed at supporting expansion into new markets, broadening product offerings, and growing its contractor network (source: zerohomes.com). This financing round was also covered by Canary Media, which emphasized the company’s innovative software-driven approach to heat pump installation (source: canarymedia.com). Our mission is to electrify the world's homes for healthy and sustainable living. Residential electrification is an extraordinary decarbonization opportunity - 145 million homes in the United States account for 20% of our climate emissions. But today electrification is painful - it's too complicated, time consuming, and expensive. So we're building a new experience for homeowners, contractors, and utilities. Zero bridges the gap between the digital and the physical with a friction-less experience that makes electrification fast, easy, and affordable. Join our team to build a world class consumer experience that just so happens to electrify America.

You love to get your hands dirty and are comfortable being in the trenches problem-solving. You're a curious, "doer" type with a bias for action and a get s**t done attitude, but also know when to zoom out and examine the big picture. You have broad business management experience, operate well in ambiguity, and have proven your ability to communicate effectively across cross domains and teams. You have worked in early/small teams, are excited by a role you'll be able to shape, are a phenomenal team player, and want to save-the-damn-planet!

We are looking for a driven, high motor generalist who is extremely reliable, resilient, and is looking to join an ambitious company that will enable them to do their life's work. We are looking for someone with operational and business experience who can "figure it out" no matter the task, and then follow-through every time. Working directly with the CEO, you'll have a unique opportunity to build from the ground up, put structure where there wasn't any before, and help us scale revenue more than 5x over the next 24 months. You're specific responsibilities will include:

Business Processes & Operational Cadence

  • Be responsible for preparing quarterly board meetings, investor materials & comms, monthly team all-hands, and collaborating with the leadership team to effectively run these meetings.
  • Be responsible for ad-hoc meetings and communications with investors both necessary and opportunistic.

Special Project & Partnerships

  • You'll operate as leverage to the CEO and executive team. You will be responsible for highly strategic special projects in addition to menial tasks to enable them to maintain focus on the most important items at all times, including:
  • Sourcing, vetting, and contracting vendors of all shapes and sizes for the business.
  • Managing company infrastructure, acquisitions, and executing contracts.
  • Helping with key fundraising activities: strategy, document creation, and partner nurturing.
  • Working closely with the leadership to define company quarterly and annual strategy.
  • Standing in for the CEO for external meetings and presentations.

What you Bring

  • 3+ years in a consulting strategy role, business operations, or a cross-functional role.
  • Proven track record of being a thought partner to leadership and an ability to build trust with internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and process management skills that allow you to deliver across a diverse set of work streams including: setting strategic goals & underlying analysis, customer/partnership development, internal process improvements & documentation, and special projects.
  • You operate with high accountability, need little to no hand-holding, and have proven yourself comfortable in handling the ambiguity typical of early businesses.
  • You learn quickly, don't let yourself get stuck, and have a true bias for action, with the ability to deliver high quality work product quickly.
  • Sharp business judgment, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Passion for building incredible organizations solving the world's hardest problems, like climate change.
