As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, the role holds the primary responsibility of delivering standardized, rule-based services to the region, specifically encompassing the full spectrum of Intercompany Reconciliation processes. The A2R Analyst II works with the Team Leader and/or Manager in overseeing and offering assistance in the broader context of Intercompany Reconciliation operations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in Intercompany (ICO) processes and serve as the 1st level point of escalation for daily production issues and concerns
  • Manage the end-to-end Intercompany reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Investigate and resolve complex intercompany reconciliation issues, collaborating with stakeholders as needed
  • Oversee the maintenance of organized records and documentation related to intercompany transactions and reconciliation
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior reconciliation staff to support their professional development
  • Participate in continuous improvement and optimization efforts for Finance and Accounting procedures related to Intercompany Reconciliation
  • Responsible for consolidating and monitoring non-standard processes and Intercompany Reconciliation activities that have not yet been migrated to the Shared Services Center (SSC)
  • Support or participate in ICO reconciliation projects, overseeing their effective implementation
  • Manage the ICO Process/Project Pillar, ensuring its effective management and execution
  • Manage the resolution of errors within the overall Intercompany reconciliation function to maintain accuracy and integrity
  • Promptly engage and collaborate with Regional Finance, Treasury, Global Sourcing, and other business stakeholders to swiftly address operational issues and challenges with high quality
  • Promptly escalate issues to supervisors or managers when intervention or clarification is required from senior leadership
  • Review, consolidate, and present Intercompany operational reports and monthly decks, ensuring data accuracy
  • Conduct analytical reviews to guarantee the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Process Performance Indicators (PPIs) for the Intercompany reconciliation function
  • Monthly review and validate KPI results
  • Monitor the back-up system and update TL if there are some challenges with the back-up system
  • Review and finalize Intercompany reconciliation SOX documentation, ensuring its accurate and timely submission in SAP GRC
  • Investigate, communicate, and resolve control issues, working to prevent their recurrence, and escalate identified risks as necessary
  • Perform peer-to-peer reviews of Intercompany reconciliation SOX documentation to ensure compliance
  • Provide internal and external audit support as requested, ensuring compliance with audit requirements
  • Monitor and ensure the timely completion of tasks according to the Intercompany reconciliation Task list
  • Participate in Intercompany reconciliation monthly operational calls with stakeholders to maintain effective communication
  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are reviewed and updated on a quarterly basis to reflect current processes
  • Provide support during the monthly accounting close process and address critical business partner issues
  • Contribute to effective process improvement and standardization initiatives, aligning with Vestas Global policies
  • Develop training materials aligned with the Intercompany curriculum and conduct training sessions within the reconciliation team and other ICO functions

Qualifications

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in accountancy or a related accounting field.
  • Demonstrated experience of at least three to four (3-4) years in Intercompany accounting.
  • Familiarity with SAP and proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Candidates should be able to solve problems effectively, make informed decisions, and communicate ideas well in presentations.
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including holidays and various shifts as needed.
