Job Description

Make your mark as Market Analyst at Boskalis Subsea Services in Aberdeen. You will will play a key role in supporting the business's commercial activities through the provision of market intelligence, competitor analysis, forecasting, and commercial insights. The role is responsible for gathering, analysing, and communicating market data to support strategic decision-making, opportunity identification, business development, and business planning. Working closely with Business Development and Tendering teams, the Market Analyst will maintain market intelligence databases, develop forecasting models, monitor competitor activity, and provide analytical support across the business.

Your responsibilities as Market Analyst

  • Monitor and analyse market activity, industry developments, competitor behaviour, and emerging trends.
  • Maintain market intelligence platforms and databases, ensuring information is accurate, current, and actionable.
  • Produce competitor intelligence, market reports, commercial insights, and management information to support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain market forecasting and scenario models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Support the tendering and business development process through the provision of market data, customer intelligence, and commercial analysis.
  • Participate in commercial, tendering, and business planning review meetings, presenting findings and recommendations where required.
  • Act as a champion for the effective use of BIMS, ensuring the system is utilised consistently and in accordance with company processes.
  • Promote best practice in CRM data management and ensure that opportunities, projects, customer interactions, and market intelligence are accurately recorded.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues to ensure understanding of BIMS requirements and the importance of high-quality data entry.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions where required to improve user adoption and data quality.

  • Minimum of 7+ years' experience in the role of Market Analyst.
  • Working knowledge within the Subsea Sector of the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and data management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
