We're designing, financing, building and operating the world's most sophisticated battery systems to enable the take up of more renewable power, electrifying fleets for cleaner air, and providing clean, portable power including repurposed electric vehicle batteries. The Opportunity
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Head of Projects US to apply their skills to the delivery of turnkey infrastructure construction projects. The role will report into the Director of Delivery and work closely with the Director of Technical Sales and Director of Asset Management. In our rapidly growing company, we are looking for adaptable, highly motivated, and talented leader who will play an instrumental role in the businesses continued growth. The role will be integral to establishing a high performing team, integrating suppliers and leading EV infrastructure.
A Bit About the Day to Day
- Work directly with the Director of Delivery to build and subsequently line manage high performing delivery team across the US & Canada
- Commercial accountability for the portfolio of EV delivery
- Own contractual risk management across the portfolio, including contract risk review, variations and claims management, ensuring delivery conduct remains consistent with the contracted liability
- Manage the implementation of the governance, plans and structure of the portfolios, programmes and projects to deliver the objectives of the business and respond to the changing priorities and demands on the business
- Manage performance and outputs of delivery and capability teams using clearly defined targets with a focus on safety, financial performance, business objectives and customer outcomes
- Provide departmental leadership and regional escalation across the portfolios
- Implement project management principles and business processes providing end-to-end project assurance
- Lead on project development and work closely with the Business Development and Technical Sales, commercial & legal colleagues on new business and markets, including early stage contract risk identification at bid stage, deal shaping
- Responsible for ensuring that all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Review all project documents and information provided by a client/sub-contractor throughout the design process
- Ensure appropriate availability and allocation of resources as well as prepare regional monthly and board reporting
- Assess tender submissions and contract terms with a view of finding additional value and identifying commercial/contractual risk exposure prior to award
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the necessary consents, permits and licenses
- Identify opportunities to improve best practices within the organisation
- Recruit and mentor a strong team of project professionals

Your Experience
- 12+ years' experience of delivering electrical infrastructure projects
- Previous experience leading teams in a leadership position
- Strong demonstratable commercial and contract experience across client and contractor organisations
- Strong demonstratable experience administering construction contracts
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring colleagues
- Senior stakeholder and board level reporting experience
- A desire to work in the renewable energy and green energy sector
- Experience working with electric vehicle charge points and delivering high & low voltage networks
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel & Project)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Pragmatic, proactive and solution driven
- Ability to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment
- Strong knowledge of H&S and Environmental regulations for design and construction, Quality standards and industry best practice
- Ability to be flexible with working locations which will be a combination of working from home, the office and your project location.

For Ilinois / NYC Compensation Description (annually)
Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognise employees for their work and any role at Zenobē, regardless of the location, is eligible for additional discretionary bonuses.
