Job Description

Are you motivated by contributing to the strategic direction and priorities of a global organization? Then you might be our new Senior Specialist, Corporate Strategic Projects.

The Corporate Strategy team partners closely with Vestas' CEO, Executive Management, and Board of Directors to shape the company's strategic direction and ensure effective execution of strategic priorities. The team plays a central role in orchestrating the annual strategic planning process, monitoring strategy execution, and managing selected enterprise-wide strategic initiatives critical to Vestas' long-term competitiveness. We operate globally across Vestas' regions and the value chain, working closely with senior leaders in all business areas. The team is characterized by high exposure to top management, deep analytical rigor, and a clear focus on business impact.

As Senior Specialist, Corporate Strategy, you will report to Jacob Lihn, SVP Head of Corporate Strategy, M&A and Global Intelligence and work closely with the Heads of Corporate Strategic Planning and Strategic Projects and act as a key support to the CEO on strategy-related materials towards the Board of Directors, while also overseeing select corporate strategic projects.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating high-quality strategy materials for the Executive Management and Board of Directors and supporting broader corporate strategy initiatives. Key responsibilities include

  • Supporting the CEO in preparing strategy-related materials and updates for the Board of Directors, including CEO updates, strategy monitoring, and regional business plan reviews
  • Owning and continuously developing the Strategy Monitoring Cockpit and other recurring Board-level strategy reporting
  • Coordinating, synthesizing, and quality-assuring strategic input from regions and functions for Board and Executive Management materials
  • Supporting the Heads of Corporate Strategic Planning and Projects on selected enterprise-wide strategic projects and analyses

Qualifications

To be effective in this role, you are an experienced strategy professional with a deep analytical foundation and exposure to senior stakeholders. We expect that you bring

  • A relevant academic degree in business, economics, engineering, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience from top-tier management consulting, corporate strategy, or a similar in-house strategy role
  • Experience from capital goods, industrials, energy, or renewables - wind industry experience is a strong advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to structure complex topics and translate them into clear, decision-ready materials for senior executives and boards
  • Solid analytical skills and experience working with strategic, financial, and operational data
  • Experience working in a complex, international organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Advanced English communication abilities, both written and verbal
