Job Description

You will be part of our Production IT team, a newly established function responsible for building and operating scalable OT capabilities across our global asset portfolio.

The role is based in Copenhagen and works as a close extension of the EPC OT team, supporting both project delivery and operational assets.

Production IT acts as the bridge between OT systems at site level and centralised services, ensuring secure, standardised, and scalable infrastructure across all plants.

As a Senior OT Network / SCADA Engineer, your primary focus will be on OT network architecture, connectivity, and cybersecurity, with a solid understanding of SCADA and industrial control systems as a foundation.

You will work across the full lifecycle of our assets, from design and commissioning to operational support and continuous improvement.

Areas of responsibility

  • Contribute to the design, standardization, and governance of OT network architectures across European Energy's renewable energy assets, including defining network requirements, standards, templates, and reviewing EPC and supplier designs.
  • Support the development of scalable Production IT services by driving consistent infrastructure solutions and reducing reliance on project-specific implementations.
  • Ensure reliable and secure communication between SCADA systems, PPCs, PLCs, RTUs, and field devices through robust network design, troubleshooting, and operational support.
  • Support the secure transition of OT infrastructure from project delivery into operations, including participation in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and system validation activities when required.
  • Implement and maintain OT cybersecurity controls, including network segmentation, firewall policies, secure remote access, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with EPC, Asset Management, SCADA, IT, and external suppliers, acting as a technical authority for OT networking across both projects and operational assets.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented professional with strong stakeholder management and coordination skills. You are structured in your approach, focused on quality and timely delivery, and thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary, and international environments.

We expect that you have:

  • Several years of experience in OT infrastructure, industrial networking, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of industrial network technologies, including routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, and secure remote access solutions.
  • Experience working with SCADA systems, PPCs, and industrial control systems within energy, utilities, or other industrial environments.
  • Solid knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as IEC 104, Modbus, OPC, DNP3, and related interfaces, as well as communication flows between operational systems.
  • Experience working across both project delivery (EPC) and operational support environments.
  • Familiarity with OT cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices is considered an advantage.

Experience within renewable energy or utilities is an advantage. We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented professional with strong stakeholder management and coordination skills. You are structured in your approach, focused on quality and timely delivery, and thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary, and international environments.

What we offer

We offer an opportunity to take on a key role in building the Production IT function at European Energy.

You will be part of establishing how we operate, standardise, and scale OT infrastructure across our global portfolio, moving from project-based delivery to a more structured and sustainable operating model.

You will work across the full lifecycle of renewable energy assets and collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders across EPC, SCADA, operations, and IT.

We provide a dynamic and international working environment with strong technical ownership, high impact, and opportunities for development.
