Job Description
You will be part of the Production IT team, responsible for designing, standardizing, and implementing the IT infrastructure and platform layer that supports Operational Technology (OT) across European Energy's assets.
The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and maintainable Production IT solutions, enabling monitoring, access control, and resilient system operation across plants.
You will work closely with OT engineering, IT Operations, and Security Operations to define and implement solutions that can be reliably operated and maintained by central teams, ensuring a clear separation between solution design and operational ownership.
This role complements OT network and SCADA engineering by focusing on the underlying IT infrastructure required to operate industrial assets efficiently and securely.
Areas of Responsibility
- Design and standardize Production IT architecture supporting OT environments (compute, identity integration, monitoring, and backup interfaces)
- Build and implement reusable infrastructure patterns and baseline configurations for deployment across assets
- Design monitoring, access, and backup integration concepts in collaboration with IT Operations and Security teams
- Contribute to technology selection and platform design decisions, aligned with enterprise standards
- Establish handover-ready solutions, ensuring smooth transition from project delivery (EPC) into operations
- Ensure consistency and scalability of Production IT solutions across projects and operational assets
- Document architecture, standards, and implementation patterns for global reuse
- Act as a technical bridge between EPC OT, Production IT, IT Operations, and Security Operations
What We Are Looking For
We imagine that you are a senior profile with 7+ years of experience providing infrastructure fundamentals for industrial or distributed environments.
The ideal candidate has hands on experience designing and implementing IT infrastructure or platform solutions, not only operating them. A background as a System Administrator or infrastructure engineer, ideally evolving into design/build responsibilities would be highly valued.
We are seeking for someone with:
- Experience with on-premises or hybrid environments, including compute and OS-level infrastructure
- Understanding of infrastructure design and system architecture, identity and access integration concepts, monitoring and observability from a platform perspective, backup and recovery architectures
- Experience working with distributed or multi-site environments, structured project delivery and operational handover, integration between IT and industrial / OT systems
- Experience with IT solutions supporting OT or industrial environments (primarily energy, but utilities, manufacturing are accepted too)
- Understanding of availability, lifecycle, and operational constraints in OT environments
- Exposure to security principles in industrial systems
With Us You Get
We offer an opportunity to take on a key role in building the Production IT function at European Energy.
You will be part of establishing how we operate, standardise, and scale OT infrastructure across our global portfolio, moving from project-based delivery to a more structured and sustainable operating model.
You will work across the full lifecycle of renewable energy assets and collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders across EPC, SCADA, Asset Management, and IT.
We provide a dynamic and international working environment with strong technical ownership, high impact, and opportunities for development.
