To support our continued growth, we are now looking for an Environmental & Biodiversity Manager to join our Development team in Poland.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful development of renewable energy projects by leading environmental and biodiversity activities throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, environmental consultants, authorities, landowners, and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance, manage environmental risks, and contribute to the delivery of sustainable, high-quality projects.

About the role

As Environmental & Biodiversity Manager at OX2, you will be an integral part of OX2's Development team from day one. You will support and manage key workstreams in all environmental and biodiversity-related activities across OX2 projects (onshore wind, PV and BESS) throughout their entire lifecycle from development and construction to operation. The role ensures full compliance with environmental regulations, corporate sustainability policies, and best industry practices in the areas of environmental protection, biodiversity, and circular economy.

You will report to the Onshore Team Manager, and collaborate closely with teams across development, engineering and legal.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide leadership to the environmental and biodiversity specialists in Poland;
  • Ensure the quality, consistency, and compliance of environmental deliverables (Environmental Impact Assessment reports, inventories, monitoring plans, ecological studies, etc.);
  • Review and approval of key environmental documentation for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with company standards;
  • Support project teams throughout all stages of the project lifecycle - development, permitting, construction, and operation;
  • Provide expert advice to management on environmental risks, permitting strategies, and sustainable development opportunities;
  • Co-develop and implement the company's environmental sustainability strategy within the ESG framework;
  • Support ESG and environmental reporting, including indicators related to waste, emissions, materials, and biodiversity;
  • Monitor regulatory and market trends and recommend improvements to environmental performance and compliance;
  • Monitor changes in environmental legislation and ensure internal processes remain compliant and up to date;
  • Represent the company in industry associations and working groups;
  • Support in preparing the plans and supervision over implementation of the company's biodiversity strategy and "nature-positive" approach across all OX2 projects.

  • In-depth understanding of environmental permitting, biodiversity protection, regulations;
  • Experience working with authorities, contractors, and environmental consultants;
  • Experience in coordination and implementing biodiversity projects;
  • Excellent command of English (minimum B2/C1 level);
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
