Job Description

Volue is a market leader in technologies and services that power the energy value chain. Around 800 employees work with more than 1100 customers in the energy sector.

Our mission is to provide innovative services critical to society, unlocking a cleaner, better and more profitable future. Working towards this goal, Volue has become a leading technology supplier and enabler of the green transition, helping energy companies simplify and optimize everyday operations.

We are now looking for Product Manager who can help us to continuously improve Volue's ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission.

The Product Manager owns discovery, strategy, and outcomes for Volue's Data & Forecasts (D&F) portfolio - data, forecasts, and analytics spanning every time horizon, from balancing and intraday markets through day-ahead to long-term energy price forecasting. Success in this role means a deep, evidenced understanding of customer needs, a product strategy and roadmap clearly aligned with D&F's broader commercial strategy, and close collaboration with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to ship outcomes that strengthen Volue's market position. The role sits within a growing PM function that is moving from knowledge held by individuals to structured, systems-based product practice.

What you will be doing to make a difference

  • Develop a deep understanding of customers and the energy markets landscape - from balancing and trading through to long-term planning - including workflows, processes, and pain points; own product discovery and translate insights into product outcomes.
  • Define product-specific strategy and business model, aligned with D&F's broader strategy and market opportunities across all time horizons.
  • Maintain and prioritise the product roadmap based on customer discovery, commercial input, and technical feasibility.
  • Ensure tight alignment with other products and business areas within Volue, collaborating extensively with Product Owners and other Product Managers across product lines, and with stakeholders in development, consulting, sales, and other functions to deliver a cohesive product offering and strategy.
  • Own Go-To-Market alongside Sales and Marketing - plan launches, enable the field, close feedback loops from the market, and act as the market voice for the product, driving thought leadership and positioning Volue as a market leader in the segment.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends to keep products relevant and differentiated.
  • Own and maintain key product assets for internal stakeholders - including the product roadmap, standard agreements and pricing, product factsheets, and presentations.
  • Contribute to structured, systems-based ways of working within the D&F product team, reducing reliance on individual knowledge and coordination.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or commercial field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working on software or data products as a product manager, product owner, consultant, or industry expert.
  • Solid understanding of modern product discovery and product management practices.
  • Language skills: fluent English required; additional European languages an advantage.

Nice to have

  • Proven experience in the energy, power markets, or trading industry.
  • Comfort working with quantitative and forecasting concepts, and translating them into commercial and customer value.

Personal skills

  • Structured and self-starting, comfortable owning ambiguous problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong commercial understanding.
  • Team-motivator with the ability to cooperate with a wide range of people and teams across functions and disciplines.
  • Willing to travel as required by the role.

The position reports to VP Product and cooperates closely with D&F Product Management team, Engineering and tech leads within the relevant product area, Design (UX/Product Design), Sales, Consulting, and Marketing. We are looking to hire for Volue office in Oslo.
