Boralex has been providing renewable and affordable energy for over 30 years. The Group, composed of more than 800 employees, operates renewable assets with an installed capacity of over 3 GW and is developing a project portfolio of 6.8 GW in wind, solar, and energy storage.

You will play an important role in

  • Drive the long-term performance of renewable assets, mitigate operational risks, and maximize portfolio value.
  • Analyze production and operational costs, lead annual budgeting processes, and build financial models.
  • Manage and negotiate key agreements (PPAs, O&M, Asset Management) and serve as the main point of contact for external partners.
  • Lead end-to-end optimization initiatives and support growth opportunities (feasibility studies, M&A, partnerships).
  • Identify, assess, and manage operational, financial, and regulatory risks.
  • Develop performance metrics, maintain records, and deliver regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Streamline operational strategies, adopt innovative solutions, and share best practices.
  • Collaborate on special initiatives across multi-technology renewable assets (Solar, Wind, BESS, Hydro).

To succeed in this position, you need

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field. Master's degree (MBA or similar) considered a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years in Asset Management or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Management, financial, and energy-related technical experience. (wind turbine technology knowledge considered a plus).
  • Language and Communication: English language skills required (fluent in written and spoken). Excellent communication skills- including alignment across multiple disciplines, managing information flow and transparent communication flow to leadership teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in matrix organization, strong cross-functional leadership, good listening skills, solution-oriented style, project leadership
  • Self-motivated and experience proactively executing tasks
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Project)
  • Ability to contribute to culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in interpreting and developing financial models, budgets, and forecasts for renewable energy assets.
  • A valid drivers licence

This is a 6-month temporary position with the potential to become permanent.

Travel is required for this position, as you will have to visit sites, attend stakeholder meetings, team meetings, or negotiations as assigned (up to 25% of the time) domestically and internationally.
