As we continue to grow, we are now seeking to strengthen our team with a ControlCentre Team Leader / Control Point Technician at our Saint John's Town of Dalry and Dumfries offices.

Our Team

Our Operations and Asset Management team manage over 200 renewable sites across the UK and Europe. Site management is delivered by our asset managers, regional field team and in-house technical experts. Our in-house ControlCentre provides a wealth of services including health and safety coordination, grid code services, 24/7 monitoring and high voltage support.

The Role

The primary objective of this role is to coordinate shift activities and ensure smooth handovers, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Control Point and ControlCentre, ensuring that the service provided meets the established standards of excellence, while also fulfilling the responsibilities of a Control Point Technician (CPT).

In addition, you will take on the responsibilities of a CPT/OC, which involves closely monitoring team performance on a daily basis, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and generating detailed reports. You will also be responsible for the direct line management of the shift team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to promote a productive working environment.

  • Perform line management responsibilities for direct reports.

  • Quality Control of ControlCentre reporting and communications, escalating to management where appropriate.

  • Carry out the role of a CPT as and when required.

  • Grid code compliance

  • Using systems and processes to interface with NESO to ensure compliance with Grid Code and contractual obligations.

  • Liaise/plan and action site outage planning

  • Declare unavailability of plant

  • PPA requirements

  • Logging and reporting Green Phone calls

  • Alarm monitoring and escalation according to client processes

  • Provide systems support and UAT for applications used in related services.

  • Provide supervision, coaching and assistance to staff performing the roles of Operational Controller and CPT.

  • Training of team members on procedures and internal/external systems.

  • Assist management with their duties as required, including auditing of team performance and investigating any non-conformances.

  • Attend management team meetings according to rota.

  • Any other reasonable duties as required.

This is a Permanent role, working 40.25 (avg) hours per week, on a rotating shift pattern.
