Job Description
Are you ready to lead a team that keeps renewable energy flowing while helping power a cleaner future? As a Lead Wind Turbine Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving wind farm performance, supporting safe operations, and developing colleagues across our onshore wind portfolio.

The Opportunity
As a Lead Wind Turbine Technician, you'll provide day-to-day leadership to a team of technicians, helping deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance activities. You'll oversee operational performance, support technical problem-solving, lead and mentor in Main Component Exchange readiness and completion work, and support the maximising of turbine availability across our Scotland South wind farm assets.
Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is based at our asset operation service centre in Livingston. This is an on-site position with travel required to other wind farm locations as business needs dictate.
We'll support your continued development as you expand your leadership capability and technical expertise. Working closely with site teams and contractors, you'll contribute to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and the reliable generation of renewable energy.

Who You Are
We're looking for a Lead Wind Turbine Technician who combines strong technical capability with a safety-first mindset and the ability to lead others effectively. You'll be comfortable working in challenging environments while maintaining high operational standards. To be shortlisted, you need to offer...
- Previous accreditation as AT/AE under WTSR
- Vestas experience in maintenance and complex fault finding ideally one or more of the following turbine variants: V90-2 Grid-Streamer, V105, V112 and V117
- Qualification in electrical and/or mechanical disciplines to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
- High level of physical fitness and good health
- Ability to work at height and in adverse weather conditions
- Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and supervising wind turbine technicians to deliver safe and high-quality maintenance activities
- Planning, coordinating, and reporting maintenance work across wind farm sites
- Supporting complex fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
- Maintaining mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Managing stocks of spare parts, tools, and consumables
- Monitoring site performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Supervising contractors and ensuring work are completed to agreed standards
- Promoting compliance with and auditing of health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Applying WTSR, CDM and company safety requirements in all activities
- Supporting the development and mentoring of team members
