Procurement Manager

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies.
• Managing relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring the best possible terms and conditions.
• Overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring they align with project timelines and budgets.
• Conducting market research to identify potential new suppliers and products.
• Managing and mitigating risks associated with procurement processes.
• Coordinating with project managers and other key stakeholders to ensure all procurement needs are met.
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value for money.
• Implementing production planning strategies to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Regularly reviewing and evaluating supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry, including market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience within procurement.
• Proven experience with vendor management and contract negotiations/review.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in procurement software and related technology.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act decisively.
