Job Description
At Enery, we're powering the future...literally
We are an independent renewable energy provider dedicated to delivering reliable, affordable, and long-term green energy to our customers. With a diversified green fleet currently generating 766 GWh of clean electricity from 566 MW of installed capacity, enough to power 283,400 households, Enery is at the forefront of driving Central and Eastern Europe's transition to sustainable energy. Present across 10 countries in Central Eastern Europe our reach reflects our commitment to making a meaningful climate impact across the region.
But we're more than just energy and infrastructure. With a diverse, multidisciplinary team representing over 30 nationalities, we value transparency, ownership, and continuous learning. We move fast, collaborate across disciplines, and celebrate wins, big and small, together.
At Enery, ESG isn't a checkbox. It's embedded into every decision we make, from project development and construction to long-term operations.
Key Responsibilities
Contractor Management & Site Mobilization
- Engage EPC and sub-contractors from day one, making sure HSE requirements are built into how they mobilize and work.
- Check contractor HSE plans, competencies and site organization are in order before work begins.
- Coordinate safely with TSO/DSO teams during grid connection and energization works.
Site Inductions & Toolbox Talks
- Run site HSE inductions for new workers, visitor and sub-contractor.
- Deliver regular Toolbox Talks that are relevant and engaging - tied to real site risks, not just a checkbox exercise.
Risk Assessments, Method Statements & Permit-to-Work
- Review and sign off RAMS before work starts - practical, specific, and grounded in how the hierarchy of controls actually works on site.
- Verify in the field that approved methods are being followed in practice, and stop work where they are not.
- Maintain robust Permit-to-Work systems for high-risk activities: working at height, excavation, lifting, electrical isolation, confined space.
Site Presence & Safety Leadership
- Conduct regular site walks, log findings, and track corrective actions through to closure.
- Build trust with site teams so people raise near-misses rather than overlook them.
- Keep an eye on housekeeping, environmental controls and emergency readiness.
Incident Response & Investigation
- Lead or support incident investigations, identify genuine root causes, and track corrective actions through to completion.
- Handle reporting, internal and regulatory, properly and on time.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Health & Safety, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, or another relevant technical discipline.
- Solid construction HSE experience (5+ years), renewable energy experience isn't required, but hands-on construction site experience is essential.
- A recognized HSE qualification (NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, or your country's equivalent).
- Wind construction experience is a strong advantage.
- Comfort with electrical safety basics (LOTO, isolation checks) and high-risk activities like lifting and work at height.
- The confidence to stop work when something isn't right, and the interpersonal skills to communicate that effectively to a site team.
- Fluent English and Romanian or Bulgarian
- A valid Category B driving license and willingness to travel by car as part of the role.
If you're excited about this role but don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway. We value growth, curiosity, and diverse perspectives.
