Job Description
DEPCOM Power is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead and manage electrical crews on utility-scale solar and BESS repower, restoration, and augmentation projects. In this hands-on role, you will ensure all work meets NEC code, safety standards, and project requirements while troubleshooting challenges and maintaining efficient workflow across fast-paced, short-duration sites nationwide.
Travel
This role is field-based with travel across project sites nationwide. Assignments typically last 4-8 weeks, with company-supported trips home between rotations. You will work out of a home base between assignments while supporting sites requiring rapid restoration, repower, or augmentation.

What You Will Do
- Lead and manage self-perform field crews in the repair, restoration, and maintenance of utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects while applying Principle Based Management (PBM).
- Develop and improve processes that drive consistency, increase productivity, and maximize project profitability.
- Ensure all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with DEPCOM's quality standards, customer requirements, and operating procedures.
- Foster knowledge sharing, challenge assumptions, and promote clear ownership of responsibilities and decision rights to improve team effectiveness.
- Drive successful project execution by ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality expectations.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and risks while maintaining proactive communication with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Maintain a forward-looking execution plan through effective resource planning and management of a rolling three-week lookahead schedule.
- Provide accurate daily reporting, track project progress, and support customer interactions as needed to ensure project success.
- Mentor and develop field personnel by promoting technical growth, leadership capability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Strong electrical background with experience in power systems, renewable energy, industrial electrical construction, field services, commissioning, operations, maintenance, or related industries.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its practical field application.
- Experience leading self-perform crews, craft labor, or subcontractors in construction, commissioning, maintenance, or field service environments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, construction documents, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for planning, reporting, and communication.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively to project sites.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience supporting utility-scale solar, BESS, renewable energy, power generation, or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting medium-voltage or utility-scale electrical systems.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
- Experience with Procore, ArcGIS, or other construction and field management software.
- Previous experience leading remote field teams across multiple project locations.
For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $140,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
