Sembcorp Specialised Construction, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, provides design and build services with an in-house multidisciplinary consultancy. Specialising in building, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects, we deliver innovative and efficient solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry.

Purpose and Scope

The Assistant Manager - M&E is responsible for managing and coordinating mechanical and electrical systems across construction projects within the built environment. This role supports project planning, design review, site supervision, and quality assurance to ensure M&E works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and technical standards. The Assistant Manager also liaises with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and drive timely project completion.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications and technical clarifications
  • Responsible for M&E works such as ACMV, Electrical, Plumbing and Sanitary etc
  • Coordinate with Engineers and Architects, and perform site supervision and co-ordination of M&E works
  • Review all M&E shop drawings from design team and submit to consultant

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years in construction industry
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project scheduling tools.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to dynamic site conditions.
