We are looking for a BIM & Digital Systems Intern.
What will you do
BIM & Other Digital Systems Implementation
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of EDP's BIM strategy, learning from experts and contributing ideas and solutions that will help drive this transformation
- Support the BIM Management Office (BMO) in development and implementation of tasks, participating in the daily BMO tasks and milestones.
- Provide day-to-day support to BIM end-users, helping them work efficiently with the design tools to achieve the BIM models and the documentation reporting and control in our Common Data Environment (Autodesk CDE).
- Collaborate with the BMO and other stakeholders to review and improve BIM-related documentation (such as the EIR, BIM Manual, and users support Guides), ensuring best practices are applied and shared.
- Identify training needs. Prepare training documentation and keep it updated. Create detailed training videos and materials for new hires and existing employees. Develop and update training manuals, guides, and other instructional materials.
- Participate in the implementation of BIM Data Model to achieve EDP data objectives.
- Provide functional support to end-users of other digital systems implemented at EDP-particularly those used for tracking Engineering & Construction (E&C) projects, such as planning and budget control-where the GTO-BIM department serves as the Product Owner
- Support with the development of other tools, connections and integrations, and the different design workflows (Ex. CDE, GIS, DMS, Appian...).
- Participate in specific tasks for the full digital solutions lifecycle: gather requirements, set objectives, plan, design architecture, develop, test, document, and deploy solutions.
- Continuously monitor, maintain, and enhance implemented solutions to ensure they deliver expected results.
What are we looking for
- Bachelor/Graduate or Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Renewable Energies, Electrical or any similar Engineering.
- Studies in data analytics, big data and data management will be considered, same as knowledge about renewable energies technologies such as wind or solar generation.
- Knowledge in BIM (Building Information Modeling)
- Knowledge in Autodesk BIM Design apps like Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, etc.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
- Advanced Spanish and English skills
- Knowledge in issue tracking and project management software application, e.g. Jira and Confluence is a plus.
- Knowledge of web platforms (such as LowCode (Outsystems) and Appian solutions) and APIs development is a plus.
