About the role
BlueWave is seeking a Manager of Capital Markets to support the financial structuring, modeling, and capital raising efforts for our growing portfolio of solar and battery storage projects. Reporting to the Senior Director of Capital Markets, you will play a key role in executing project financing transactions, developing financial models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented professional who is excited to contribute to BlueWave's mission of driving clean energy solutions.
What you'll do
- Support capital-raising activities for solar and battery storage projects, including construction financing, tax equity, and long-term debt.
- Develop and maintain financial model templates for BlueWave's storage and solar projects.
- Collaborate with the development team and external partners to evaluate offtake, financing, and structuring opportunities.
- Assist in financial modeling and due diligence for project acquisition opportunities.
- Provide financial continuity through the development, construction, and operational phases, ensuring smooth handoffs to the asset management team.
- Work with Senior Capital Markets team members and external economic consultants to construct revenue projections and assess project economics.
- Partner with Strategy & Origination, Policy & Government Affairs, Legal, and Project Development teams to evaluate market rules, incentives, and other factors that impact project economics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5-7+ years of relevant experience in Capital Markets, financial modeling, or energy storage project analysis.
- Knowledge of project financing structures, including tax equity and debt for renewable energy projects.
- Proficiency in developing and managing financial models for energy storage or solar projects.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Northeast U.S. renewable energy policies and market incentives.
- Knowledge of solar PV and energy storage technologies, including technical and performance considerations for Li-Ion batteries.
- Experience working with suppliers of major equipment and contractors.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 per year + bonus. Compensation will be influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, job-related knowledge, skills, education, certifications, and relevant experience as outlined in the job description above.
