As a Senior Product Development Engineer for Fuel Cell Systems you will focus on designing, developing, optimizing and demonstrating HTPEM fuel cell technologies for transportable applications ensuring reliable and uninterrupted power supply under diverse operating conditions.

This role typically requires a strong background in engineering, and energy systems, along with strong knowledge of HT PEM fuel cell technology principles and applications. You will also execute hardware projects and provide business insight into fuel cell and hydrogen technologies, contributing to our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Lead the design, development, and manufacturing of HT PEM fuel cell stacks and systems
  • Execution of Hardware Projects: In charge of execution of hardware projects in a demo environment, ensuring successful implementation and performance validation
  • Technical Leadership: Represent the company as the technical lead in hardware projects, engaging with EU bodies, institutions, and partners to ensure alignment and collaboration
  • Collaboration: Serve as the primary technical contact point with third parties to co-develop hardware solutions, fostering effective partnerships
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate technical reports and presentations and effectively communicate findings to diverse audiences
  • Component Sourcing and Testing: Support sourcing and testing of components, subsystems, and systems for performance, reliability, and durability, including fuel cell stacks, power modules, DC/DC converters, controllers, batteries, sensors, pumps, and motors
  • Business Presentations: Prepare technical presentations to support the company's business plans related to the hardware segment

Qualifications and Skills

  • PhD/MEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience of 6 years minimum in the development of HTPEM stacks and systems
  • Proven experience of 6 years minimum in the management of European Projects
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in the testing and prototyping of fuel cell systems, with a hands-on approach to developing and assembling physical models
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
