Job description
The Renewable Energy Site Manager will focus initially on the construction management of the site. Construction management of the facilities will include supervising earthwork, the installation of pipelines, structures, concrete, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, etc. Upon construction completion, the Site Manager will transition to operations of the site, overseeing the operation of all equipment related to manure management, biogas handling, upgrading, clean up, and CNG/hauling.
The Site Manager will be expected to monitor plant performance, perform routine maintenance, repair equipment as necessary, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and coordinate with co-workers and business partners as needed. Equipment to be operated/serviced will include PLCs, data loggers, biogas blowers, pumps, 1ph & 3ph motors, and electrical wiring. Applicants should have some level of experience with construction management, mechanical and electrical equipment and enjoy troubleshooting issues within industrial facilities. Interpersonal skills, verbal skills, and moderate computer skills are a must; you will be the MEW representative to contractors, vendors, and stakeholders. Pride in appearance, reliability, honesty, consistency, and self management are required; you will be a key member of a team, but will be expected to work without direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project construction sites, ensuring that construction is designed, prepared and executed according to plan
- Perform duties similar to a superintendent
- Perform daily walk-throughs, maintain daily logs, and prepare a weekly summary
- Identify site conflicts/problems
- Interact with on-site contractors and dairy staff

- Off-loading of truck deliveries
- Staging construction materials
- Supervise bidding, handle contractor communication, monitor construction scheduling, supervise remote contractors
- Coordinate with engineers, regulating agencies, and government officials
- Oversee on-site operations ensuring that all equipment and systems are operating as designed while maximizing facility up-time
- Troubleshoot issues on-site or remotely as they arise
- Coordinate repair work and perform maintenance checklists
- Effectively communicate via email, text, and phone with supervisors, team members, contractors, clients, and business partners
Qualifications & Skills
- Four or more years of experience in Construction or Construction Management preferred.
- The ability to read and understand basic site plans a must. Ability to read P&IDs or electrical schematics a plus
- Farm/AG experience a plus
- Analytical thinker and self-starter.
- Ability to diagnose & resolve problems, and to plan & execute autonomously.
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficient in written & spoken English required.
- Basic computing and Microsoft office skills required.
- Forklift/tele-handler/backhoe skills a plus
- General mechanical and electrical experience (2+ years preferred)
- Plant or site operations experience preferred.
- Facilities maintenance experience a plus
- Ability to learn new equipment software and electronic interfaces
- Analytical thinker, ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

This job mainly operates in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, etc. Noise level may be loud at times and works around moving mechanical or construction equipment. Must have current GA/FL driver's license and be able to operate company vehicles

Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Climbing ladders/scaffolds, navigating uneven surfaces, and working in close quarters is expected. Working in an office environment at a computer station to write reports, order consumables, or monitor plant performance
