Your Role

We're looking for a Bid Manager to take full ownership of Fastned's most important bids and proposals; from initial qualification all the way through to final submission. As a central and experienced figure within the Tender team, you will lead mid-to-high-complexity tenders with precision and strategic clarity, collaborating closely with commercial, technical, legal, and finance teams to craft proposals that are fully compliant, competitively priced, and compellingly positioned to win. You will also serve as a natural point of reference for local execution leads and programme managers, sharing knowledge generously and helping the whole team grow together.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse tender requirements and develop a thorough understanding of customer needs.
  • Shape a proposal strategy aligned with business goals and Fastned's mission.
  • Identify key win themes and differentiators that set Fastned apart.
  • Build a clear proposal schedule and coordinate responsibilities across contributors.

Content Development & Management

  • Write, edit, and manage proposal content to ensure clarity, compliance, and persuasiveness.
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to co-develop technical, management, and pricing sections.
  • Contribute to and help maintain the Knowledge Hub so the team can build on shared expertise.

Team Coordination & Collaboration

  • Bring together cross-functional teams, including sales, capture managers, technical experts, and pricing teams, to deliver as one.
  • Facilitate proposal bid assessments and review meetings in an inclusive and constructive way.
  • Keep the team on track, ensuring deadlines are met and content stays aligned with the proposal strategy.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure proposals comply with all tender instructions and evaluation criteria.
  • Lead cross-functional reviews to collectively refine and strengthen proposal content.
  • Proofread and format proposals to the highest standard of consistency and professionalism.

Submission & Post-Submission Activities

  • Submit bids & proposals on time and in the correct format.
  • Track proposal outcomes and maintain a lessons-learned repository to continuously improve.
  • Support orals, clarifications, and debriefs as needed.

Who we are looking for?

You bring solid expertise in bids and proposals management, a genuine commitment to excellence, and the confidence to guide complex processes from start to finish. You care about doing things well and helping those around you grow. You also check the boxes below:

  • 5+ years of experience in bids & proposals management, with a proven track record of leading and delivering mid-to-high-complexity, high-value tenders
  • Solid hands-on experience with public procurement procedures, including competitive dialogue, negotiated procedures, and framework agreements
  • APMP Fellow certification is preferred and considered a significant differentiator
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Law, Communications, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced professional proficiency in English with exceptional written communication skills; French, Dutch or German is a plus
  • Experience within the infrastructure, energy, e-mobility, real estate, or concession sectors is strongly preferred
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with a thorough approach to compliance and quality
  • Focused and adaptable under ambitious deadlines, with strong prioritisation instincts and the ability to balance multiple projects.

What They Do

Fastned is a leading Dutch operator of ultra-rapid electric vehicle charging stations, specializing in premium roadside and high-traffic locations throughout Europe. Founded in 2012, the company has grown from a national EV charging provider into a pan-European network operator, focusing on large station designs capable of serving hundreds of vehicles daily (source: fastnedcharging.com). Fastned aims to build a network of 1,000 large stations by 2030, serving private drivers and commercial fleets with a focus on premium "A-locations," rapid expansion, and uptime exceeding 99% (source: fastnedcharging.com).

Projects & Track Record

Fastned has shown rapid growth with 50 new stations opened in 2024, reaching 346 stations across seven countries, and expanding further to 406 stations in nine countries by the end of 2025, including new markets in Italy and Spain (source: fastnedcharging.com). Key projects include the flagship all-electric service area in Gentbrugge, Belgium, which presents a new vision for service-area charging, and the first Autobahn location in Germany, marking a strategic entry into a major European highway corridor (source: fastnedcharging.com). The company also launched its first electric truck charging sites in 2025, supporting the growing heavy-duty EV segment. Fastned’s project pipeline includes 569 sites either operational or under development, backed by significant financing exceeding €182 million raised through bonds and green loans to support network growth (source: fastnedcharging.com).

Recent Developments

In 2024, Fastned reported €86.3 million in charging revenue, a 43% year-on-year increase, with positive EBITDA for the second consecutive year, highlighting strong operational performance (source: fastnedcharging.com). The first half of 2025 saw a 44% revenue growth, driven by new station openings, expansions, and increased renewable energy supply (source: fastnedcharging.com). By early 2026, Fastned operated 406 stations across nine countries, surpassing €122 million in annual charging revenue for 2025, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey (source: fastnedcharging.com). The company also completed 35 station expansions and deployed 400 kW truck chargers, reinforcing its leadership in high-power EV infrastructure (source: transportandenergy.com).

Working There

Fastned offers a variety of roles across station development, engineering, operations, finance, investor relations, and country-level rollout, reflecting its expanding infrastructure business model (source: fastnedcharging.com). The main office is based in Amsterdam, with additional offices in the UK and Italy, supporting its multi-country operations (source: fastnedcharging.com). The company’s rapid growth and frequent station openings indicate ongoing hiring needs in market entry, site acquisition, construction, operations, and commercial functions, with particular focus on real estate, permitting, project delivery, and asset operations (source: fastnedcharging.com).
