Sembcorp Industries Ltd is a state-owned energy and urban development company based in Singapore, focusing on a diverse range of sectors including infrastructure, marine engineering, and urban solutions. The company has adopted a "Brown to Green" transformation strategy aimed at achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, emphasizing renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, and battery storage (source: nextgeninvestors.substack.com). Sembcorp operates a significant energy portfolio exceeding 12,600MW globally, with over 2,600MW derived from renewable sources, including a notable 250MWp capacity in Singapore alone (source: wikipedia.org). The company also engages in urban development, transforming raw land into industrial parks and sustainable communities, catering to markets across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, China, India, and the UK (source: nextgeninvestors.substack.com). Projects & Track Record

Sembcorp has a robust project track record, including the Sirajganj Unit 4 combined-cycle gas turbine power plant in Bangladesh, which began full commercial operations in 2019, significantly enhancing its thermal portfolio (source: wikipedia.org). The company has also expanded its renewable energy capacity from 2.6GW in 2020 to 8.7GW by 2023, with ambitious plans to triple this to 25GW by 2028, which includes ongoing projects like the 500MW solar initiative in Oman (source: nextgeninvestors.substack.com).
