As our new Geotechnical Engineer you will join our Civil Engineering Team, which is part of European Energy’s EPC department, and holds the overall responsibility for the design, planning, procurement, and management of our projects during the ready-to-build and construction phase. We work with professional suppliers, partners, and sub-contractors for the completion of our sites.
Your new role
As our new Geotechnical Engineer, you can look forward to handling the following main responsibilities related primarily to the geotechnical aspects of our Photovoltaic and onshore wind projects.
Areas of responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical investigations for solar and onshore wind projects.
- Evaluate soil properties, foundation stability, and bearing capacity.
- Identify geotechnical risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Perform foundation testing campaigns and process results.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure safe and efficient construction.
- Provide recommendations for foundation type based on the outcome of studies.
- Work with geotechnical modeling tools.
- Prepare relevant documentation packages.
Job Prerequisites
It is expected that you:
- Have a M.Sc. Engineering Degree (Civil, Geotechnical or similar) and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Focus on renewable energy projects will be considered a plus.
- Have good technical skills and are familiar with AutoCAD, GIS and Geotechnical modelling software (e.g. Plaxis, Lpile, Apile or similar). Knowledge of Structural Analysis Software will be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASTM, Eurocode).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Are proficient in English.
