Tax Specialist - Tax Operations

Determine and minimize the company's worldwide tax liability with the highest integrity while complying with worldwide tax laws. Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the tax returns and schedules prepared.
• Collection, preparation & analysis of financial data, legal documents and other relevant info required for local tax filings/ tax audits and any other statutory requirements.
• Finish prepare & submit Tax account reconciliation on Monthly or Quarterly basis.
• Prepare/support CIT return filings, prepare CIT to VAT reconciliations.
• Assist with all tax operational matters and identify any compliance issues. Escalating matters to Tax Ops Leader for advice and resolution.
• Provide audit support or assistance to other ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Written and verbal fluency in English, Korean speaking preferred.
• 3-5 years of work experience of Tax and Accounting in large multinational/ Big 4 or Shared Service Centre.
• Good working knowledge in a multinational environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Good analytical skills & ability to technically discuss with local/regional business controllers, country Stat & Tax leader, local Corporate tax Leaders where necessary.
• Flexible approach with a strong team spirit.
• Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics.

Desired Characteristics

• Big 4 or MNC experience.
• Knowledgeable of intermediate to advance MS Excel and Access are required skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and highly professional style when dealing with business clients, including both oral and written communication.
• Detail-oriented and project management skills.
• Ability to anticipate, communicate, report and resolve challenges.
