Job Description

As part of our dynamic growth, we are expanding our Development & Construction team and seeking a Construction Manager (m/f/d) for the PV/Wind/BESS market within the EMEA region.

About the role

As a Construction Manager (m/f/d), you will oversee the construction activities for Solar projects, including ground-mounted, tracker, floating PV, for BESS projects (Battery Energy Storage Systems), and for Wind projects across the EMEA region.

What you will do

  • You will oversee the professional implementation of large-scale renewable projects (PV, BESS, Wind), ensuring compliance with quality, time, and budget requirements.
  • You will support project execution activities and manage your own construction sites by being present on-site during the construction phases to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • You will ensure contractors meet and maintain safety and quality standards on-site by conducting regular quality checks and overseeing the proper implementation of the Quality Control Plan.
  • You will be part of the Project Team, acting as the technical project manager and primary interface for all construction activities.
  • You will manage interfaces between internal teams (Engineering, Procurement, Contracting) and external construction partners (contractors).
  • You will participate in the final design handover from Engineering to Construction and organize and lead kick-off meetings before the project commences.
  • You will ensure project execution aligns with contractual agreements, including approving milestone certificates, and manage compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
  • You will serve as the primary point of contact on-site for subcontractors and third parties.
  • You will monitor material deliveries and ensure construction progresses according to the project schedule.
  • You will identify potential risks that could impact the project during execution and develop and implement mitigation plans to prevent delays or issues affecting project deadlines.
  • You will prepare and submit weekly construction progress reports, inventory checklists, and quality reports, while overseeing the final handover to ensure successful project completion.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • A degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or similar) or equivalent practical expertise.
  • Extensive experience managing international construction sites for renewable energy projects.
  • Hands-on expertise in site operations, with a strong background as a Construction Manager.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools, with a keen eye for detail.
  • A structured and solution-driven mindset, thriving in dynamic environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams.
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel extensively across the EMEA region.
  • Excellent command of English; additional language skills are a strong advantage.
