We are looking for a Traveling EHS Field Specialist to work collaboratively with our diverse client base and project teams to assess, develop, and implement EHS strategies for wind farms and major component exchanges. This role involves frequent travel to various locations, making it essential for the specialist to adapt to different environments and industries while maintaining a consistent focus on safety and environmental excellence.

Your qualifications

  • Full GWO Certifications
  • Ability to climb 300 vertical feet.
  • Proven track record of EHS experience, including wind energy knowledge and safety protocols
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, project teams, and personnel at various locations.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to address diverse EHS challenges.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, often on short notice, to various locations.
  • Proficiency in EHS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data management.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to rent and operate vehicles.

Your Role

  • EHS Assessment: Conduct comprehensive EHS assessments and audits at client sites to identify potential risks, hazards, and compliance issues.
  • EHS Inspections: Collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure that the EHS policies of the customer are being followed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on local, state, and federal EHS regulations, and ensure that clients are in compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
  • Training and Education: Provide on-site EHS training and education to clients, employees, and contractors, emphasizing best practices and safety culture.
  • Incident Response: Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans, conduct investigations for incidents and accidents, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of assessments, training, incidents, and recommendations, and prepare comprehensive EHS reports for clients and management.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Promote and support sustainable practices, environmental protection, and conservation efforts at client sites.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop strategies and recommendations for risk mitigation and hazard control, focusing on preventing workplace incidents and accidents.
  • Safety Culture Enhancement: Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, fostering a positive attitude towards EHS across all levels of the organization.
  • Travel Management: Efficiently manage travel logistics, schedules, and expenses while ensuring timely arrival and completion of assignments.
